The real estate market generally moves in cycles. Every seven years the market rises, and then for seven years it begins to fall again.

Unfortunately, we’re due for the market to begin declining soon. The last few years, especially in San Antonio, have been absolutely fantastic. We can only hope for more good years to come.

I don’t want to scare anyone by saying that the market is set to crash this year – all I’m saying is that the market moves in cycles and that a downturn will come eventually.

Nobody has any idea when the market might tank, but if it happens tomorrow, we shouldn’t be surprised.

Fortunately, if the market does begin to slow, it will happen around the country before it happens here in San Antonio. This will give us the time to prepare for a slow down.
